Trail Blazers Still Have Chance To Shine In Series With Suns
If the Portland Trail Blazers lose to the Phoenix Suns Thursday night, their season is over. But even if that happens, just getting this deep into the post-season is a victory for the beleaguered Blazers.
They lost more players to injury than any other team in the NBA this year, players like the two centers Greg Oden and Joel Pryzbilla.
All-Star forward Brandon Roy had to sit out some of the playoffs with knee trouble. Even coach Nate McMillan had to miss some road games with a ruptured Achilles' tendon.
Still, here they are. And for more on why we have no business calling them the “Frail Blazers”, lets bring in NPR Sports correspondent Tom Goldman, who lives in Portland.
