Today Marks Anniversary Of The Great Quake Of 1700
On this date in 1700, a huge earthquake hit the Cascadia Subduction Zone off the coast of the Pacific Northwest.
It had a magnitude 9.0, and affected the coast from Northern California to Southern British Columbia.
Professor Chris Goldfinger is a marine geologist at Oregon State University. I asked him how scientists can be so sure about something that happened 310 years ago.
