Tax Measure Supporters Celebrate Victory
Supporters of the two measures in Tuesday's special election in Oregon are celebrating the outcome.
Oregonians voted to raise taxes on corporations and the wealthy.
Both measures passed by roughly 54 to 46 percent. The taxes will close an estimated $727 million hole in the state budget, and maintain state services, including schools.
For reaction, we turn to Hanna Vandering, who is a Vice President with the Oregon Education Association, the statewide teacher's union.
