Vancouver police evacuated students and faculty from Evergreen High School Tuesday after a bomb threat and suspicious device were found.

Carol Fenstermacher is a spokeswoman for Evergreen School District.  She says when police arrived, they found something else.

Carol Fenstermacher: “It’s my understanding a second device was found.  At that point, we put two adjoining schools in lockdown—Legacy High School, which is right behind Evergreen, and Cascade Middle School.”

School officials called in buses to get the students from all three schools home safely.

Vancouver police neutralized one of the suspicious objects with a water explosion.  Later in the day, they said that neither device contained explosives.

Fenstermacher says school will resume Wednesday, weather permitting.
