Stakes Are High In This Year's Beavers, Ducks Matchup
The Civil War football match-up between the Beavers and Ducks is always a big game. But as Ryan Knutson reports, this year the stakes are high.
Both University of Oregon and Oregon State won their football games this weekend, setting the stage for one of the biggest match-ups ever between the two teams.
That's because the winner will be crowned Pac-10 champion and go to the Rose Bowl.
Maria Bruggere is the Sports Editor for the Daily Barometer at Oregon State, and she'll be covering that game a week from Thursday at Autzen Stadium.
Maria Bruggere: "How many opportunities do you get to go to the Rose Bowl? It's great for Oregon and it gives us some recognition that we deserve."
The game will be nationally televised on ESPN.
Last year when these two teams met, the Oregon Ducks left with the victory 65 to 38.
