Q&A: Wildfire Season In The Northwest
Firefighters are getting a handle on one of the first big Northwest wildfires of the season.
At least 15 square miles has burned in Central Washington, threatening about 150 homes over the weekend and prompting some voluntary evacuations. Three firefighters were injured battling the Cowiche Canyon Fire.
Christy Boisselle is a spokeswoman West Valley Fire and Rescue. She told OPB’s Allison Frost conditions overnight improved dramatically.
