Political Chat: Campaign Contributions
If money truly is the mother's milk of politics, milking season is under way in Oregon.
This week, there was plenty of news about money and politics. Campaign contributions were reported by Brad Avakian, who is now running for Congress, opening up his job as state Commissioner of Labor. Candidates for that position began to surface this week. And over at the state treasury, an investigation into travel practices led to reprimands by the state Ethics Commission.
To review these developments, our political guys, Bill and Jeff, have joined us. Bill Lunch is OPB's Political Analyst; he's at the OSU Media Center. Jeff Mapes is the senior political reporter and blogger for The Oregonian.
