Maintaining Healthy Trees And Safe Power - Audio Slideshow |
Late winter/early spring is pruning seasons in many parts. But for Dave Johnson, who works as an arborist for PGE, keeping an eye on trees is a year-round enterprise.
He’s passionate about maintaining the health of trees growing near power lines.
It’s not always an easy job -- there are high voltage electrical lines to deal with -- and those lines are always on when the trees are being pruned.
OPB’s Pete Springer caught up with Johnson and crew of tree trimmers recently and filed this audio postcard.
