Oregon football heroes have been hitting the headlines for bad behavior recently, creating a media circus in the Lane County Courthouse Friday. KLCC's Sharece Bunn reports.

It was a packed courtroom when star runningback LaMichael James showed up for his five minute sentencing hearing. And the majority of the spectators were media including a few from ESPN.

James was arrested last month for an altercation with his ex-girlfriend. He pleaded guilty to misdemeanor harassment with physical contact.

This brought an end to James' ban from the U of O campus. The plea agreement reduces his sentence to 10 days in jail and 24 months probation.

Judge Maurice Merton ordered James to have no contact with the victim during that time.

Quarterback Jeremiah Masoli is due in court Friday afternoon for burglary charges.

University of Oregon Football Coach Chip Kelly is expected to give a statement later Friday.
