Oregon Dept. Of Fish And Wildlife To Inspect Boats For Invasive Species
This weekend, weather permitting, Oregonians might be taking boats out to lakes and rivers.
The state Department of Fish and Wildlife will be inspecting boats -- looking for invasive species. Inspectors will be stationed at highway rest stops near Salem, Baker City, Central Point and Klamath Falls. And they'll be at various boat ramps around the state.
Rick Boatner is the Aquatic Invasive Species coordinator with ODFW. I asked him what boaters can expect when they come across an inspection station.
