OHSU Diabetes Study Shows Promise For Type 2 Sufferers

A study just published the scientific journal Nature has some potentially very good news for those who suffer from type 2 diabetes. The study by an OHSU lead researcher comes just a day after Kaiser Permanente released research on gestational diabetes. Allison Frost spoke to the lead researcher on the OHSU study, Michael Cowley. He emphasizes that if a treatment is developed that works in humans it would be in addition to, not instead of, other diabetes treatments -- including exercise.
