Klamath Falls Man Dies From Swine Flu Complications
Health officials say a man from Klamath County has died of complications from the swine flu. He was 33.
Melissa Klegseth, with the county's Health Department, said the patient died Saturday at Rogue Valley Medical Center in Medford.
Melissa Klegseth: "There's definitely an investigation going on to see where he may have gotten it. At this time it's not known, it's too early. In the community we're preparing for what could be -- we're expecting activity to pick up as we get to the fall flu season."
The man's name has not been released and doctors don't know how long he had the flu.
The state says there have now been more than 530 confirmed cases of swine flu in Oregon, and seven deaths.
