Janssens Named Portland Fire Chief
A 24-year veteran of Portland Fire and Rescue has taken the top job.
Erin Janssens was named by the fire commissioner Wednesday as the city's new fire chief.
The 47-year-old is a Portland-area native who joined the department as a firefighter in 1988 and was promoted through the ranks. She was most recently fire marshal.
Janssens replaces John Klum who retires in June.
