Well, you might like to know it’s: Take Your Daughters and Sons to Work Day Thursday. In preparation, Kristian Foden-Vencil gave his 12-year-old a microphone and so it’s Noelle Foden-Vencil who will file this report.

Hi, my name’s Noelle and I’m a seventh grader at Riverdale in Southwest Portland.

Dad wanted to get out of work, so he suggested I do a story on Take Your Daughters and Sons to Work Day.

I figured the whole idea is to help kids decide what they’d like to do when they grow up, so I took his recorder to school.

That’s the cafeteria.

Imagine 100 kids screaming and eating -- and you get the general idea.

Anyway, I usually sit with my girlfriends so here are: Jackie Borok, Katie Kehoe, Stephanie Swanson, Alexis Mendelsohn and Rose Lee.
