George Fox Jumps On iPad Bandwagon

George Fox University has chosen to offer iPads to incoming students before the devices have even hit the market.

The private Christian school in Newberg has long offered Mac Book laptops to all students as part of their tuition.  Now, they'll have a choice.

University spokesman Greg Smith said, "We were responding to knowing there was a desire for choice and possibly a more efficient academic technology tool.   And the iPad came along at just the right time.  Of course, for us to make the commitment  that we would offer it as an option had its risks because we have not actually been able to get a hold of one."

Apple will start selling the iPad this coming Saturday.  However, George Fox students won't have to make their decision until July.
