FERC Chair Was Lone Dissenter On LNG Vote
The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission is allowing a couple of controversial Liquefied Natural Gas terminals in Western Oregon to go forward, even without the approval of its chairman.
Jon Wellinghoff has been the chair of the FERC since last March.
When the FERC approved the applications to build LNG terminals at Bradwood Landing and Jordan Cove, Wellinghoff was the lone dissenter.
He visited Portland earlier this week, and he told me doesn’t have anything against LNG. And his record shows that.
