Federal Stimulus Reports Due Saturday
By this time next week, you’ll know how the federal part of the stimulus is being spent in Oregon so far.
This Saturday is the deadline for states to report how they’ve spent the money, and how many jobs have been created.
It’s the first big indicator of how the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act is working.
Brian Shipley runs the Governor’s Economic Recovery Team. He says reporting how the $3.9 billion coming to Oregon is being used is a big job.
He’s talks with OPB's Geoff Norcross about the interim stimulus funding reports that all states must turn in to the federal government by this Saturday.
