EcoTrust Studies Salmon As A Food Commodity
We're going to talk next about the problem of feeding a growing population.
The United Nations estimates there will be nine billion people on the planet by 2050.
Portland-based Ecotrust is looking at that problem by looking at salmon, and determining if the way we get that particular food commodity to people around the globe will still work for us in the future.
Ecotrust is one partner in the three-year, one-million dollar study. The results will be released this week.
Astrid Scholz is the Vice President of Knowledge Systems at Ecotrust.
