T.S. Eliot was right.  April is the cruelest month.  At least it is for Washington lawmakers.  They're struggling to wrap up a special session in Olympia to close a nearly $3 billion budget gap. 

Meanwhile, candidates are maneuvering for position in the Oregon Governor's race.  And a new survey throws a cold April shower on the hot debate over Oregon's tax structure.
