City Of Lake Oswego Moves $1 Million To Local Banks
If you follow online advocacy groups you might have heard of a grassroots effort, encouraging us to take our money out of big national banks and deposit it with smaller community banks.
The City of Lake Oswego plans to do something like that. The city will transfer a million dollars from California-based Wells Fargo bank, and deposit it in four banks with ties to the community.
For more, I spoke with Jane Blackstone, who is Lake Oswego’s Economic Development Manager. She says the goal is not to punish Wells Fargo.
