Candidates for Congress and Senate have filed fiscal reports for the first quarter of this election year. April Baer checked out the results.

Oregon incumbents are still in the money.

Democratic incumbents Congressmen David Wu and Kurt Schrader solidified their six-figure war chests. First District Republican Rob Cornilles is closing in on the $300,000 mark.

But another GOP hopeful in the First District, Stephen Brodhead, lent himself another $170,000. His $298,000 campaign kitty is almost entirely self-funded. According to his FEC filings, he hasn’t spent a dime.

In Washington’s competitive 3rd District race, Democrat Denny Heck is still dominating, with half a million dollars in the bank.

Fellow Dem Craig Pridemore’s fundraising was restricted in the first quarter by his legislative job. He has $51,000 cash on hand.

Among Republicans, Jaime Herrera raised $140,000 for the quarter, while David Castillo brought in just over half that much.
