It’s mid-term primary season, and one big question that every political watcher is asking is, "How much tolerance does the American voter have for Washington insiders."  People were asking the same question during the Democratic presidential primaries in 2008.  When Hillary Clinton ran, she was a multi-term Senator from a state that produces presidential candidates. She had a familiarity and ease with the press. She had even lived in the White House for eight years.  Why, then, did she lose? A book by Melody Rose takes the long view of that question. She’s the co-author of 'Hillary Clinton’s Race for the White House'. She’s also the chairwoman of the Political Science Department at Portland State.  Melody Rose says Mrs. Clinton faced three main hurdles when she ran.
