Attorneys In Kyron Horman Case Speak To Press
Attorneys representing the father and stepmother of Kyron Horman, the 7-year-old boy missing for more than a month, spoke briefly to the press today. Amelia Templeton reports.
Kyron Horman's stepmother Terri Horman is the last person known to have seen the boy. Stephen Houze is representing her in divorce proceedings. He spoke to a crowd of reporters at the Multnomah county courthouse today. Houze said only that Terri Horman will appear in court next week.
Reporter: "Steve, can you tell us how Terri is doing?"
Stephen Houze: "I'm not going to make any comment. I appreciate your interest. I know you have a job to do. As do I."
Terri's Horman's husband Kaine Horman filed for divorce last month. A judge granted a restraining order that prevents Terri Horman from contact with her husband and 18-month-old daughter. She has agreed to no parenting time.
Attorney Laura Rackner is representing Kaine Horman. She says Terri Horman also agreed to move out of the family's home. But the two sides have not agreed on the terms of the move.
Laura Rackner: "She may be wanting some funds from Mr. Horman to move out. And he's not feeling, uh, he would like some cooperation from her first. He would like to know where his son is. If he is safe or not."
Rackner filed a motion yesterday alleging that after the boy went missing, Terri Horman started an affair with Michael Cook, one her husband's high school friends. The motion says she showed Cook a sealed restraining order containing her husband's address and other information.
Police have not named a suspect or person of interest in the case.
