Oregon Jury Gives Death Sentence To Serrano

A man convicted of murdering a woman and her two children is headed for death row Thursday.  A Washington County jury recommended capital punishment for the defendant Thursday morning.

Ricardo Serrano was found guilty last month of killing the family of his wife’s alleged lover. Judge Steven Price is expected to formally sentence Serrano on March 16th.

Thirty-two men are on Oregon’s Death Row. But only two men have been executed in Oregon in close to 50 years. Both died by lethal injection in the mid 1990’s.
