Even With Tax Increases State Still Seeing Red Ink

Yes, Oregonians passed higher taxes on some people and corporations last month.  And yes, the economy is showing some signs of turning around. 

But there’s still some red ink on the state’s books. 

A new revenue forecast released Monday shows the state has a budget hole which comes out to a little more than $100 million. 

Revenue projections have now fallen for the last seven consecutive quarters. 

OPB’s Chris Lehman has been looking over the new figures.
