downloadThe Obama Administration announced a $3.4 billion legal settlement with Native Americans and tribes Tuesday.
If the deal is approved by judges, and Congress, it would end a long-running and contentious legal dispute that President Obama said was one of his top priorities in dealing with American Indians.
The settlement will bring money, and stability, to 300,000 individuals and more than half of the tribes in the U.S., including many in Oregon and the Pacific Northwest.
In Bend, reporter Ethan Lindsey has been tracking the story.
