The win solidifies the Ducks’ 1st place lead in the Pac-10 Conference and it gives them an edge in the race to the coveted Rose Bowl.

After celebrating on the field Saturday night, Duck fans were elated.

Randy Stemper: “Oregon knows what it takes to win, and tonight at Autzen, we actually proved that.”

That was Randy Stemper, a University of Oregon alumn and season ticket holder.

Tim Dizney, a 21-year-old University of Oregon student, thinks Oregon’s win gives the Ducks a shot at a national championship.

Tim Dizney: “I am a Duck fan and always will be, but I was scared coming into this game. But this, this is actually amazing. This is going to skyrocket us right up into the ranks.”

The game had extra importance because it was nationally televised on ESPN’s College Game Day program.
