500 Tents 4 Haiti: Trying To Provide Shelter And Stability
People in Haiti are still struggling to recover from the big earthquake that struck there this year.
A group of Oregonians is working to provide shelter to some of the homeless Haitians who are living in camps.
The effort is called 500 Tents 4 Haiti. Among the volunteers is Captain Brian Rooney of Clackamas Fire District #1.
Rooney's trained as a paramedic. When he traveled to Haiti in January, he saw the stark lack of emergency resources.
