Hydropower May Be The Solution To Energy Storage Problem

OPB’s Series about our energy mix is touching on renewable energy, as well as creative solutions to energy problems.
As we heard last Monday, we rely heavily on hydropower from dams here in the Northwest, and it’s hydro power that might help get around the problem of energy storage.
Erik Steimle is the Director of Environmental Compliance in the Portland office of Symbiotics LLC. This is a company that’s building pumped storage hydropower plants around the Northwest.
