John Daniel likes to write about mountains.  But he also likes to write about rivers. 

He’s good with the ocean, too.  And the desert, and canyons, and trees and lakes and fish. 

He’s very much into Ken Kesey and Wallace Stegner.  He even likes to write about forestry. 

John Daniel writes about all these things in a new collection of essays called The Far Corner.
