Oregon's Plan To Spend The Stimulus
Portland, OR April 1, 2009 5:29 a.m.
We’re learning more about the process by which Oregon’s share of the federal stimulus money will be distributed.
Governor Ted Kulongoski has created a committee that will help disburse the estimated $2.4 billion Oregon will get over the next three years.
It’s called the Oregon Way Advisory Group, and it’s a collection of public officials and private industry leaders that will advise the governor on how to spend the stimulus.
Dick Pedersen is the group’s co-chairman. He’s also the Director of the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality. He tells me what the group’s role is.
