Dunning Guilty in Tragic Case in Eastern Oregon
Portland. OR February 5, 2009 10:44 a.m.
A 61 year-old woman is sitting in jail in La Grande this morning, after being found guilty this week of assault and attempted murder. The bizarre episode that put Donna Dunning behind bars involves cattle rustling, a family feud spanning generations, and a man who was literally shot out of a horse’s saddle.
Rob Manning reported the story two years ago when it happened, and he’s just back from a second visit to Wallowa County.
