Six managers at the Oregon Health Licensing Agency have been placed on paid administrative leave. Kristian Foden-Vencil reports.

The unidentified managers were asked not to come in Monday, after the governor's office received a number of complaints.

The state is not saying exactly what those complaints were. But prosecutors started an investigation after a series of meetings between the managers and various state agencies.

Tony Green, a spokesman for the state Attorney General, says the managers regulate health related businesses including: midwifery, athletic training; hair styling; tattooing and sex offender treatment.

Tony Green: "It's something we took very seriously because of the health and safety issues involved."

Green could not say how long the investigation might take, or when the state might be able to outline its concerns.
