Iraq Has Been 'Paradigm Shift' For One Overseas Worker
Portland, OR September 25, 2008 4:29 p.m.
Tiana Tozer just paid a visit home to Oregon. She grew up here, and went to the University of Oregon.
Now she works for Mercy Corps in Iraq, leading a literacy program for women, and helping people with disabilities advocate for education and jobs.
She herself uses a wheelchair, after being hit by a drunken driver when she was 20.
Tozer visited OPB and said that her job in Iraq is a “paradigm shift” from the usual overseas development work.
