OSU Coach To Introduce Michelle Obama At Convention
Portland, OR August 25, 2008 11:24 a.m.
Oregon’s two degrees of separation from Democratic presidential hopeful, Barack Obama, will be front-and-center Monday at the convention in Denver.
The Illinois senator’s brother-in-law, Craig Robinson, is set to introduce Barack Obama’s wife, Michelle, before her speech.
Robinson is known to Oregonians as the new coach of the men’s basketball team at Oregon State University.
Robinson says he’s not expecting people to be surprised by his, or his sister’s, remarks Monday.
Craig Robinson: “The story is that there is no story. What you see with my sister is exactly what you get, and it’s what we’ve gotten for 44 years, and what we’ll get for the next 44 years.”
Robinson says he’s still trying to picture his younger sister as the next First Lady, if his brother-in-law is victorious in November. Robinson calls the possibility “mind-boggling.”
