First Day Slow At Portland Day Labor Site
Portland, OR June 16, 2008 4:57 p.m.
Portland’s first day labor site opened Monday morning on land owned by the Portland Development Commission.
A $200,000 grant from the city got the center going. It’s meant to provide a central site for workers who now stand on street corners.
Pete Springer was at the site Monday morning to see how things were going.
He joins us now in our studio.
