Ari ShapiroNPR Justice Correspondent Ari Shapiro visits Portland this week.

This Beaverton grad's career has taken a rocket ride, with assignments covering Abu Ghraib, Hurricane Katrina aftermath, and presidential power and the War on Terror.

He spoke recently with OPB's April Baer about covering the Department of Justice, and his entree at NPR. His first job: interning for Legal Affairs Correspondent Nina Totenberg.
