As the race for seats on the Portland City council opens up, Multnomah County Commissioner Maria Rojo de Steffey has announced she will not run.
Maria Rojo de Steffey: “I don’t want to do it. I decided to go back to plan A and plan A was to move out of elective politics.”

She says she’s already been offered a couple of jobs for when her term with Multnomah County ends in December.
