Q&A: CEOs Of Two Nonprofits Announce Retirement
The world of nonprofits has changed. Much of that change has been financial, but nonprofits have had to adjust to new technology, new laws and shifting ideas about the role of government in helping people.
The two people we talked to this week have witnessed those changes -- and many others -- during their tenures -- tenures that will come to an end soon.
Rachel Bristol is the CEO of the Oregon Food Bank. Bas Vanderzalm is the President and CEO of Medical Teams International. They both announced they were retiring this month.
You'll hear from Rachel first. She's been with the Oregon Food Bank in some capacity since 1983. She says she has seen oversight of her organization tighten.
